French pilots were in pace as locals in Andorra : there are many in top 25 ! The most impressive one is maybe 14th place of Hugo Frixtalon 19 years and 3 days old ! Of course Amaury Pierron who ranked 2nd is very good new for overall ranking after 3 wins in a row ! His young brother Baptiste ranked 17th !

Cocorico Amaury Pierron 🇫🇷 took the win in Elite Men (1st one for him!) at today Fort William UCI DH Round #2 ! He was strong pedalling… and quite lucky after the Aaron Gwin fall. Congrats to Reece Wilson 🇬🇧 4th as a privateer ! Loris Vergier 🇫🇷 is 2nd but 1st from the Syndicate Santa Cruz boys ! Troy Brosnan 🇦🇺 is more and more present (3rd today) and Loïc Bruni 🇫🇷 is back too after been injuried in Croatia 🇭🇷 at Round #1 !

2017 UCI Downhill World Cup was amazing with a ranking that was decided at last round ! The podium of final Val di Sole Round #7 men race seems to be particularly promising for France 🇫🇷 for 2018 with Amaury Pierron, Loïc Bruni and Loris Vergier ranked #2, #3 and #4… and in women Pompon back quite confident and regular !
Moreover 2018 will have new stages ! A fact that was so uncommon in the last seasons : Round #1 will be in April in Lošinj, Croatia 🇭🇷 !
Now next stage : the Cairns Worlds !
Gwin is back ranking 1st after more than one year without top podium !
2017 will be tigh is this sure. Loris pushed hard : enough to reach 2nd before his teammate Greg Minnaar but not sufficient to win a first World Cup Round !
In women elite category nor Tahnee neither Manon reached to beat Tracey Hannah.

Leogang was also the theater of a great run for Loris Vergier finishing 2nd. This a good result after having qualifying 2nd yesterday.
His qualifying time had be estimated dubtful because he could have been pulled out by Ratboy but not al all : Loïc Bruni ‘s Specialized Gravity teammate is a great rider and realized his best UCI World Cup result ever !
Troy Brosnan finished 3rd. Danny Hart and Greg Minnaar complete the podium.
