Congratulations to Loïc Bruni for his second Worlds Crown !
Congrats to Aaron Gwin 🇺🇸 & Pompon 🇫🇷 for their respective overall Downhill UCI World Cup win !
Here is Gwin final victory after Greg Minnaar unlucky run 😦
2017 UCI Downhill World Cup was amazing with a ranking that was decided at last round ! The podium of final Val di Sole Round #7 men race seems to be particularly promising for France 🇫🇷 for 2018 with Amaury Pierron, Loïc Bruni and Loris Vergier ranked #2, #3 and #4… and in women Pompon back quite confident and regular !
Moreover 2018 will have new stages ! A fact that was so uncommon in the last seasons : Round #1 will be in April in Lošinj, Croatia 🇭🇷 !
Now next stage : the Cairns Worlds !
Greg Minaar without more injuries broke its 29″ carbon Santa Cruz frame in a massive crash !
After a couple of years it is usual business that chainguide is dead ! Here are a few shots of a chainguide change procedure (e-thirteen LG1 suitable to ISCG-05 standard).
- Chain & Crankset removals
For the chain find the smart link and unlock it. For the crankset use the proper tool.
- Broken Chainguide Removal
Unscrew the the three bolts. Do not lose the washers : they could be reuse.
- LG1 Chainguide
Carefully read what’s inside the box !
- LG1 Chainguide Installation
- Chain ring change 😉
It a good idea when fine tuning chain guide accurately if it is not time to change chain ring also : here a 36T swith to a 30T Race Face Narrow Wide chain ring. The narrow wide patent allows to remove upper chain guide with confidence. Not shown on the pictures the bash guard can be switched to the smaller one that comes with the e-thirteen LG1 box.
Enjoy your ride !
The 21st for Greg Minnaar ! And the 3rd one for Pom Pon one week after the 2nd !
Troy Brosnan is back ! At least a 2nd World Cup win for the australian pilot ! The race was stuning : after Danny Hart impressive run who would have thought it could be improve twice ?!? Greg Minnaar and Troy Brosnan did. Pompon is back is business also !
Danny emmbedded cam at race day : fasten your seat belt !
